1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1 large green pepper, chopped
28 oz can tomatoes, chopped
14 oz can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
14 oz can beans with pork
10 oz can sliced mushrooms
5.5 oz can tomato paste
1/2 c water
1/2 lb bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
1/2 tsp cumin
1-2 tbsp chili powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 salt
1 garlic clove, crushed
1/4 tsp cayenne (optional to make it hotter)
1 tbsp sugar

Directions:
Brown ground beef in skillet and drain off fat. Saute onion and green pepper with ground beef until tender. Transfer to a large pot, slow cooker or casserole. Stir in remaining ingredients. Simmer for 2 hours at 325º in the oven or over medium-low heat on the stove top for 6 hours in a slow cooker.
