5 large ripe bananas
1 cup Crisco shortening
4 cups sifted flour
1 tsp salt
4 eggs, well beaten
2 cups sugar
2 tsp baking soda
1 cup chopped walnuts.

Directions:
Directions:
Beat/smash bananas until liquid; combine with eggs and set aside. Cream together shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add banana mixture and blend. Add sifted dry ingredients and stir until smooth. Fold in nuts. Pour into two well-greased loaf pans (9 1/2 X 5 1/2 X 3 inches). Bake at 350º for 45 to 50 minutes or until done.
