2 1/2 c. fresh blackberries (rinsed and well drained)
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 stick unsalted butter, melted

Directions:
Directions:
Stir sugar with blackberries and let stand at least 20-30 minutes (this is called macerating). Heat oven to 375º.
Stir together flour, baking powder and salt. Add milk. Melt butter and stir in. Pour batter into bottom of small baking dish (approximately 8x 8") sprayed with non-stick spray. Top with the sugared berries (evenly distribute over the batter). Bake 45 minutes.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped topping.
