2 cans crescent rolls
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 egg, separated
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
TOPPING
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Directions:
Directions:
Press out one can of crescent rolls on the bottom of a lightly greased 9 X 13 baking dish.
Combine cream cheese, egg yolk, sugar, and vanilla until well mixed and creamy. Spread evenly over bottom crust. Press out the other package of crescent rolls onto a piece of waxed paper until approximately 9 X 13, then put it on top of the cream cheese mixture as the top crust and remove the wax paper. Brush the top layer with egg white. In a small bowl combine the sugar and cinnamon for the topping, then sprinkle the mixture all over the top crust.
Bake at 375º for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool and store in refrigerator until ready to eat. Slice into bars.

When I was in high school one of my friends really impressed her boyfriend with this recipe, so I thought I would try it on mine. I made them for Jason and I guess it worked because we've been married for 11 years. This is one of his favorite desserts. We like them served cold out of the refrigerator.
