3 cups cooked, shredded chicken
1 cup cooked rice
1 cup cubed fresh bread
1 cup chopped celery
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 can cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup
1 med. can mushroom pieces
1 pkg. chopped almonds
1 cup potato chips, crushed fine for topping

Directions:
Directions:
Cook 1 hen or 2 fryers until tender with 1 or 2 bay leaves and 1 med. onion. Salt to taste.
Mix all ingredients well. If mixture seems dry, add 1/4 cup mayonnaise and 1/2 cup chicken broth.
Gently put into casserole and add potato chips just before baking for crispness.
Bake at 350º for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown.

This is a recipe I found in Mother's (Margaret Williams) recipe box. It is from Ruby Williams and I entered it just as she had written it on the card. At the end is a notation--good! And it must have been since Mother requested the recipe from her!
