1 (14 oz) can dark sweet pitted cherries draining and reserving juice
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp ground cloves
rind of one lemon
1 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. lemon juice
4 (1/2") thick slices Maple Leaf Ham, boneless ready-to-serve
1/3 c chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Combine cherry juice, nutmeg, cloves and lemon rind in frypan. Bring to boil over moderately low heat. Mix together cornstarch and lemon juice. Stir into hot cherry juice and continue cooking until thickened. Stir constantly. Add Maple Leaf Ham, cover and simmer for 5 min. Stir in reserved cherries and walnuts. Simmer covered for an additional 5 minutes.
