1 1/2 c Five Roses Unbleached Flour
1 1/4 c sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2/3 c chopped nuts
2/3 c undiluted Carnation Evaporated Milk
1/3 c salad oil
2 beaten eggs
2 tsp grated lemon rind
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp. lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl combine flour, 1 c of the sugar, baking powder, salt and nuts. In a small bowl combine evaporated milk, oil, eggs, lemon rind and vanilla. Add all at once to flour mixture and stir just until moistened. Turn batter into greased 8 1/2 X 4 1/2 X 3" loaf pan. Bake in moderate oven (350ºF) 60 to 65 min. Cool 10 min. Remove from pan. Combine lemon juice and remaining 1/4 c sugar and brush over surface of loaf. Cool completely.
