2 T butter
1 clove minced garlic
1 tsp. grated lime peel
1 T lime juice
1 tsp. finely chopped Serrano or jalapeņo chile
1/2 tsp. salt
3 cups fresh vegetables such as broccoli florets, cauliflower florets and/or sliced carrots

SAUCE
In saucepan melt butter over low heat.

Add garlic, cook for 20 seconds.

Add lime peel, chile, salt and lime juice. Mix well and set aside.

STEAMER OVEN
Cut up vegetables and place on the perforated sheet in the oven.

Steam for 10 minutes (for crisp vegetables) or longer for softer vegetables.

OVEN TOP STEAMING
IN 4-quart saucepan, please steamer basket. Add 1 cup water, heat to boiling.

Add cut-up vegetables to basket, cover and cook 4-5 minutes or until crisp-tender.

FINISHING
Toss the cooked vegetables in the sauce and serve.
