1 cup brown rice, uncooked
3 cups water
1 teaspoons olive oil
salt

Directions:
Directions:
Bring water, olive oil and salt to boil in medium saucepan. Add 1 cup brown rice. STIR and cover the pan, reduce heat to simmer (lowest).

Cook for about 45 minutes until tender. Stir periodically and check the rice to see if it is done (should not be hard). You may need to add more water if water has dried up and rice is not done cooking.

Keep checking rice towards end to see if you need to add water and if rice is done.

1 cup of uncooked rice makes 2 cups of cooked rice.
