2 C SUGAR
4 EGGS
3 C SWEETENED APPLESAUCE
2 LBS GUMDROPS
1 C WALNUTS
1 LB. DATES
2 LBS. RAISINS
5 C. FLOUR
1 TSP. CINNAMON
1/4 TSP CLOVES
1/4 TSP.SALT
1/4 TSP. NUTMEG
2 TSP. SODA

Directions:
Sift ingredients together, use part to dredge fruit and candy. Cream butter and sugar, add beaten eggs. Add applesauce alternately with flour. Grease and flour pans very well and bake in slow oven (325) for 2 hours. Makes 4-5 loaves.
