1 ½ cp evaporated milk
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 ½ cp canned pumpkin
¾ cp sugar
2 rounded Tbls flour
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp nutmeg
½ tsp ginger
¼ tsp cloves
Dash of salt
1 Tbls butter

1 baked pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Combine milk, egg, and pumpkin in a saucepan. Stir in the other ingredients, except butter till well blended. Cook slowly till the mixture begins to thicken. Once it has thickened, remove from the heat, add the butter, let it melt and stir it in. Let it cool some and then pour it into a baked pie shell.

Must be kept refrigerated or it will go runny.

When I was little I could never understand why Mom's pumpkin pie was creamy and delicious while everyone elses was bone dry. I was in my 20's before I realized that all other pumpkin pies are baked.
