1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 egg
1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

Line 2 round 12-inch pizza pans with foil. Invert 4-inch oven-proof bowl or custard cup in center of each pan; grease outside of bowl. In large bowl, cream brown sugar, sugar, butter, vanilla and egg until light and fluffy. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cups; level off. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt; blend well. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread half of dough in each prepared pan to within 1/2 inch of bowl and pan edges. Bake in a preheated 375º oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until light golden brown. Carefully remove bowls. Cool; remove from pan. Decorate as desired.

I use to make these for every bake sale and they were the first to go. I would decorate them, depending on the holiday, with M&M's using white frosting in a pastry bag as the "glue"; red and green for Christmas, pastel colors for Easter, etc. Not only do they look cute, but they taste just as good!
