1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 onion, finely chopped
2 slices bread or 1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1 egg
2 tsp. freshly grated ginger
pepper
sesame oil
2 tbsp. oil
1 green pepper, cut into chunks
1/2 onion, cut into chunks
pineapple chunks
toasted sesame seeds

Sauce:
1 cup pineapple juice (reserved from canned pineaple packed in heavy syrup)
8 tbsp. sugar
6 tbsp. cider vinegar
4 tbsp. ketchup
2 tbsp. cornstarch
dash of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Combine ground beef, onions, bread crumbs, egg, ginger, pepper and sesame oil. Form into meatballs; brown in oil and drain fat. Sauce: In a saucepan, combine all the ingredients and bring to a boil to thicken. Cover meatballs with sauce. Add green peppers, onion and pineapple chunks; cook for 15 minutes making sure the meatballs are cooked thoroughly. Serve in a Crock-Pot or chafing dish to keep warm. Before serving, sprinkle with lightly toasted sesame seeds.

The meatballs and sauce can be prepared the day before. Just add the vegetables and pineapple and heat thoroughly before serving. The ginger and sesame oil add a nice oriental zing to these meatballs.
