1 bar German Chocolate
1/2 cup boiling water
1 cup butter
2 cup sugar
4 egg yolks unbeaten
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cup cake flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
1 cup buttermilk
4 egg whites beaten

Directions:
Melt chocolate in boiling water, cool
cream butter, sugar until fluffy. add egg yolks 1 at a time and beat after each, add chocolate and vanilla, mix well, add sifted flour, salt and soda. alternately with buttermilk to chocolate mix. beat until smooth, fold in beaten egg white in 3 cake pans. bake at 350º 30 to 40 minutes
