3 C crushed vanilla wafers
3 C powdered sugar
3 C nuts (walnuts or pecans)
6 Tbls cocoa
6 Tbls light corn syrup
3/4 C Rum or Brandy

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients well, by hand. Once ingredients are all mixed together, batter should be stiff but moist. Roll into small tsp size balls. Roll each ball into sugar, or crushed nuts and place on wax paper. Store in airtight container.

Everyone loved Grandma Hyatt's Rum Balls! She usually doubled the recipe to make sure she wouldn't run out during the holidays! Grandpa Hyatt used to joke that you could become intoxicated if you ate more than one!
