Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Dry ingredients:
2 cups Oats or cereal granola mix
¾ cup wheat germ
2 cups nuts (add a bit of seeds to this amount if you want)

Wet ingredients:
2/3 cups brown sugar
4 tbsp. butter
2 tsp. Vanilla extract ( or 1 ½ tsp Vanilla and ½ tsp orange)
½ tsp. salt

8 oz. dried fruit

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 400 degrees. Line a 9x13 pan with wax paper or aluminum foil.
Mix and spread dry ingredients out on cookie sheet and toast in the oven for about 10-12 minutes stirring a couple of times so it doesn’t burn.
In the mean time, mix wet ingredients in small saucepan. Heat over medium high heat stirring often to prevent scorching until almost boiling.
Dump dry ingredients into large bowl and add wet ingredients and dried fruit. Mix well. Dump into prepared 9x13, spread out into even layer. Cover with another piece of paper. Use an oven mitt and press even and hard. It will crumble if not pressed enough. Completely cool and cut.
*Both mixtures need to be hot when adding together. So plan to have them ready at close to the same time.
