Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 pound fresh Maryland jumbo lump or backfin crabmeat
1/4 c. mayonnaise
1 egg, beaten well
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 tsp. mustard
1 1/2 tsp. Old BayŠ seasoning
1 tsp. parsley flakes
1/4 tsp. mustard seeds
2 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

Directions:
Directions:
Drain the crabmeat. Pick through it to remove any shells. Place crabmeat in a large mixing bowl. Set aside. In a separate bowl, beat eggs, and mix in Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, Old BayŠ seasoning, parsley flakes, mustard seeds, mayonnaise and mustard. Pour mixture over crabmeat and gently mix until well combined, being careful not to break up the crabmeat. Shape crabmeat mixture into slightly flattened cakes about 1 inch thick.

You can either sauté the cakes in butter/olive oil mixture on both sides until they are golden brown, or you can broil them until golden brown on each side.

Personal Notes:
I have very fond memories of my mom making crab cakes. There's nothing like a Maryland crab cake!!!
