Oreo Marshmallows Recipe

2 plus Knox Gelatin
8 TBSP cold water
2 C granulated sugar( fine ground sugar in the raw)
1/2 C cold water
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 C powdered sugar
10-15 Oreo cookie crumbs(with or without filling)

Directions:
Directions:
Dust a 8 or 9 inch square pan with the 1/4 C powdered sugar. Set aside.
Put the 8 TBSP of water in a small bowl. Add the gelatin. Set aside.
Combine 2 C granulated sugar with 1/2 C cold water in a medium to large sauce pan. Stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Add gelatin to sugar mixture. Being up to boil. Stir mixture often.
Remove from heat once its to a boil. Pour mixture into a large mixing bowl let stand till mixture is semi cooled off. Should still be slightly warm to the touch. Add salt and vanilla extract to the cooled mixture. Beat with an electric mixer until soft peaks form and double in volume. This takes about 10-15 minutes. Pour mixture into powdered sugar coated pan. About 1/2 inch thick. Carefully smooth out and let cool completely.( of you touch the mixture and is no longer sticky to the touch its cooled and ready to cit).
Put knife in powdered sugar before beginning to cit marshmallows into squares.
Place whole Oreo or just the cookie part without the filling into a large plastic bag. Crush cookies into small chuncks or fine crumbs.
Place 2-3 marshmallow squares into the cookie crumbs press crumbs into marshmallows. Gentley coating them with the Oreo pieces.
Place on plate or cake carousel.
Enjoy the best mashmallows you ever make.
Enjoyments over. Hahaha.Now go clean up the mess.
