1 head cabbage, chopped into approx 1 inch squares or pieces
½ onion, chopped
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt, to taste
1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper, to taste
1 cup chicken broth

Directions:
Directions:
1. Heat butter in large heavy and wide saucepan or saute pan; add onion, cabbage, salt, pepper, sugar, and stir over low heat for 5 minutes.
2. Add broth and bring to boil, cover and simmer over medium-low heat, stirring often, for about 15 minutes or until cabbage is tender.
3. Lower the heat to low and simmer for about 45 minutes.
4. Taste and adjust seasoning, serve hot.
