2 cups bread crumbs ¼ tsp salt
4 cups milk (scalded) 4 slightly beaten eggs
¾ cup sugar 1 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp butter

Directions:
Directions:
Soak bread in milk for about 5 minutes. Add sugar, butter, and salt. Pour slowly over eggs; add vanilla and mix well.

Pour into greased (Pam) 1 ½-quart baking dish. Bake in pan of hot water in moderate oven (350) until firm, about an hour.
