2 cups Flour
1/4 t. Salt
12 T. Butter (cold and diced into cubes)
1/4 cup Milk
1 Egg Yolk

Filling:
5 cups Apples (peeled, cored, and diced)
1 t. Vanilla
1/2 cup Flour
1/2 cup Sugar
1/3 cup Brown Sugar
1 1/2 t. Cinnamon
1/4 t. Nutmeg

Topping:
1 Egg White
1 1/2 T. Sugar
1/4 t. Cinnamon

Glaze:
1 cup Powdered Sugar
2 T. Milk
1/2 t. Vanilla

1. Preheat oven to 350° F

2. Pie Crust: Add flour and salt to a large bowl, add cold, cubed butter and cut together with a pastry cutter. Use your hands or a spoon to add milk and egg until you can form the dough into a ball. Wrap dough in plastic and refrigerate while preparing filling.

3. Filling: Place diced apples in a large bowl, Add vanilla and toss to coat.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour flour mixture over apples and toss.

5. Assemble Pie: Divide crust into 2 portions. Roll 1st portion into a 13x9" rectangle on a floured surface. Transfer dough to the bottom of an ungreased 13x9" baking dish.

6. Carefully dump apple mixture over crust and spread to with in 1/4" of the edge.

7. Roll the 2nd portion of crust in the same manner about 1/2" larger on each side. Transfer dough over apples and tuck in dough around edges of baking dish, sealing apples inside crust.

8. In a small bowl, whisk egg white until foamy and brush over top of pie.

9. Combine sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over pie.

10. Bake in preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until crust is golden brown.

11. Remove from oven and let cool at least 1 hour before cutting into bars.

12. Combine all glaze ingredients in a small bowl and whisk until smooth.

13. Drizzle bars with glaze.
