"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Cook and drain the macaroni and pour into an ovenproof dish.
Dice and stir in the stick of margarine.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Grate or cube the cheese and mix into the macaroni.
Beat together the eggs and milk.
Pour on just enough of the egg mixture to cover the macaroni.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 to 35 min. till bubbly and brown.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Until Aunt B. moved back to Kansas I had always made macaroni and cheese on the top of the stove. I jotted down these oral instructions as she taught me to make her much better version in the oven.
