1 T. vegetable oil
1 tsp. salt
1 small onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. prepared yellow mustard
1T. horseradish
1 T. white vinegar
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. black pepper
water to cover mixture

Directions:

1. Pour oil into a large skillet and sprinkle the salt into the oil over medium heat
2. Add onion and garlic and cook until soft and fragrant, about 1 to 2 minutes
3. Add ground beef and brown, working the beef to break it into small bits
4. Add mustard, horseradish, white vinegar, sugar, black pepper and enough water to just cover the mixture
5. Mix well and bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat
6. Cook, stirring occasionally until almost all the water has boiled away, usually 15-20 minutes
7. Serve on warm hamburger buns
