1 1/2 cups flour
2/3 cup sugar
3/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 cup sour cream
5 tbsp. butter, melted
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3/4 cup mini-chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients; set aside. In another bowl, combine the egg, sour cream, butter and vanilla. Stir into the dry ingredients until just moistened. Fold in the chocolate chips. Gently scoop the batter three-fourths full into 24 paper-lined muffin pans. Bake in a preheated 350º oven for 18 to 20 minutes or until muffins test done. Cool for 10 minutes and remove from pan to a wire rack to cool completely.

This recipe produces a rich and tender muffin. Mom would often substitute dried cranberries and nuts, instead of chocolate chips.
