1 lb. Italian sausage (mild)
1 small onion
sprig of sage and rosemary
½ C dry red wine (Merlot)
1 T oil
2 T butter
1 C boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
Brown sausage in butter and oil. Add water, onion, sage and rosemary. Cook slowly for about 1 hour. Add wine and simmer about 15-20 minutes.
