1 cup flour
¼ tsp salt
½ cup Crisco
1 cup water
4 eggs

Spoon flour, not sifted, into measuring cup
Level and pour on wax paper
Add salt to flour and stir
Bring Crisco and water to boil
Add dry ingredients quickly
Beat constantly until mix leaves pan and forms ball, about 1 minute
Remove from heat and let cool, stirring occasionally
After cool, add eggs 1 at a time, beat until smooth after each egg.
Drop by tablespoons on ungreased cookie sheet
Bake 400 degrees 40-45 minutes
Cool and fill

6-8 egg yolks
8 heaping TBS cornstarch
1 cup sugar
Enough milk to make a paste
1 ½ quarts milk
1 stick oleo
Bring to boil
Boil a couple minutes
Add 2 tsp vanilla
Dust with powdered sugar
