2 cups milk
2 teaspoons salt
1 large yeast cake
2 eggs
1/2 cup lukewarm water
1/2 cup to 1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening, melted
8-10 cups all purpose flour

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk and pour over salt and sugar. Cool. Soften yeast in lukewarm water. Add 4 cups flour to milk and yeast, beat thoroughly and let stand till light and foamy. Add melted shortening and eggs; beat well. Add enough flour to make soft dough and knead. Let rise until double, punch down and let rise again. Shape into rolls.

Bake at 375º until nice and brown, 15-25 minutes.
