1-1/4 cup sugar
3 cup flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
3 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Sift sugar, flour, cream of tartar and salt into bowl. Mix shortening into dry mixture (consistency of pie crust). Beat eggs and milk with the soda and add to flour mixture. When completely mixed, roll and cut with cookie cutters.

Bake at 350º for 6 to 8 minutes.
