1 stick margarine, softened
1 c. light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 T. milk
1 egg
1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. ea. baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 medium ripe bananas, mashed
4 T. peanut butter
1 c. uncooked oats

Preheat your oven to 350º. In a large bowl blend butter and sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla, milk and egg and blend well.

In a medium bowl sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix thoroughly and add ingredients to large bowl. (Combine with a strong spoon.)

Add and mix individually mashed bananas and peanut butter. Fold in oats.

On a nonstick cookie sheet, drop spoonsful so that 9-12 fit evenly. Bake for 15 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes. Remove from pan and cool further.

These can also be served with toppings. If you want you can make a simple cinnamon and sugar mixture and sprinkle it over the tops of the cookies before placing them in the oven, or you can drizzle chocolate over them while they cool. They are great with a cup of coffee or a cold glass of milk.
