2 cups flour
1/3 cup sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup oil

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 400º. Grease 12 muffin cups. Mix all dry ingredients; in separate bowl mix egg, milk and oil and desired extra ingredients. Combine all and stir just until moist. Bake 20 minutes until brown. Variations: blueberries, buttermilk, raisins, dates, cheese, apple, coconut or bacon.
