3 cups self-rising flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 pinch salt
1 bottle dark beer (12 oz), room temp.

Preheat oven to 350. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix thoroughly.
Pour into a well-greased loaf pan.
Bake for 50 minutes. Remove to a wire rack.

Excellent with pasta or soup.
If you dont have self-rising flour: for each cup of all-purpose flour, add 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
