2 c Hot Rize cornmeal mix, self-rising
1 beaten egg
1 c buttermilk or until liquid consistency
Pinch of baking powder
Egg size amount of Crisco or bacon fat

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450. Put Crisco into an iron skillet in hot oven until melted and very hot. Combine all other ingredients. Pour ½ fat into other ingredients, stir. Pour all into hot skillet. Bake approx. 25 minutes.
