2 tbs. olive oil
2 - 3 peices meat (chicken, pork, or steak) not ground beef
1 onion
3 large cans diced tomatoes
1 large can tomato paste
1 - 2 tbs basil (fresh or dry)
1 - 2 tbs garlic
1 tsp black pepper
1 - 2 tbs Italian seasoning
1 - 2 tbs parsley (fresh or dry)
1 tbs sugar

Directions:

Chop up meat and brown in oil with onion. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer for several hours adding water as needed to achieve desired thickness. Add more spice to taste while cooking.

Assign someone to be the official taster ( usually my job). This requires dipping bread into sauce every hour or so to make sure its good.
