This recipe makes enough for two round pans that are about 14 inches in diameter.

3 cans (16 oz each) Refried beans (I like refried black beans best)
1 tub (16 oz) sour cream
1 packet (or 1/4 cup) taco seasoning
salsa (at least 24 oz)
4 cups (approx) shredded cheese (I often use spicy Mexican blend)
Tomatoes, chopped
green onions, chopped
1 can olives, sliced

Optional: avocados or guacamole- I usually serve a bowl of this on the side, but you could use it as an 8th layer!

Directions:
Directions:
Layer 1: Stir beans (to incorporate oil) and spread out on the bottom of the pans.

Layer 2: Mix taco seasoning with sour cream and spread on top of beans.

Layer 3: Gently dribble salsa across the top of the sour cream and gently spread it out.

Layer 4: Spread cheese evenly across the top of the salsa.

Layers 5-7: Sprinkle the onions, tomatoes, and olives on top of the cheese.

Serve with tortilla chips.
