1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. (2 sticks) butter (softened)
1/2 c. sugar
2 large eggs
2 Tbsp. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. quick or old fashioned oats
2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. coarsely chopped pecans
1/2 c. shredded coconut

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375º. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl. Beat brown sugar, butter, and sugar in large mixing bowl until creamy. Beat in eggs, milk, and vanilla. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in oats, chips, nuts, and coconut; mix well. *Here's the trick for delicious cookies. Put the cookie dough in the fridge for about 3 hours.. Now the dough will be a little firm. Drop by rounded teaspoon onto cookie sheet. While the cookies are cooking, make sure the dough is stored in the fridge. Bake for 9 to 11 mins. Don't over bake! Cool on baking sheets for 1 min; then put on cooling racks to cool completely.
