6 eggs
1 c.butter (2 sticks)
3 c. sugar
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. heavy whipping cream
1 tsp. vanilla

Always set out eggs and butter to allow them to come to room temperature. Grease and flour tube pan. Set oven on 300º.

Cream butter and sugar until smooth, add eggs beat one at a time beat well after each one. Sift flour 3 times; add to the mixture of eggs and butter a little at a time, beating well each time; add the whipping cream a little at a time until all of the flour is in. Add in the vanilla. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Place in a cold oven make sure the oven is on 300º; set oven after you put the cake in. Cook for 80 to 90 minutes; stick tooth pick in; if it come out clean the cake is done. Let cake cool before removing from the pan.
