Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Pastry for double crust pie
8 c. peeled and sliced cooking apples (about 6 - 8 large)
1/3 c. Karo Dark Corn Syrup
3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt

Glaze:
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. chopped pecans
3 tsp. Karo Dark Corn Syrup
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. cornstarch

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Fit one pie crust into bottom of 9 1/2 inch deep pie pan. Arrange apple slices. Combine corn syrup, butter, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and salt in a small bowl. Pour over apples. Top with second crust, fold edges under, seal and flute. Cut in a few slits in top to vent. Place a shallow pan under pie to catch drips and bake 45-55 minutes until crust is browned.

Combine all glaze ingredients in a small bowl. Dollop over pie and carefully spread over the hot crust. Bake 10 more minutes until top is bubbly.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Apples really sink down when baking, so stacking this up really high makes for a nice thick pie.
