2 Sticks Margarine
1 Stick Butter
1 8 oz. cream cheese
3 cups sugar
dash salt
2 tsp. vanilla
6 eggs, large
3 cups cake flour

Directions:
Directions:
Do NOT preheat oven. Grease 10" tube pan

Combine margarine, butter, cream cheese and sugar. Beat well. Add salt, vanilla and then 1 egg at a time, beating well after each one. Add flour, mix well. Pour into greased tube pan.

Place in cold oven and bake at 350º for 1 hour or until done.

This recipe came from Linda Newberry, niece to Jackie Slayton and cousin to Sonia Allan. Excellent pound cake that is moist and perfect by itself, or with mixed berries over the top and a dollop of whipped cream.
