1 Stick Butter
1 cup brown sugar
¼ cup milk
2 cups powdered sugar (preferably 4X)
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

Melt butter and add brown sugar. Boil for 1 minute. Add milk, boil for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat and beat in powdered sugar & vanilla.

Cover cake immediately.

This recipe came from Linda Newberry. Niece to Jackie Slayton and cousin to Sonia Alan. This icing is good on any kind of plain cake (yellow or white). But is it excellent over a German chocolate cake!
