1 1/2 cups oleo or butter
1 3/4 cups sugar
4 large eggs
6 cups flour
1 T and 2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 2/3 cups of milk
1/4 cup buttermilk

Mixture for dipping:
1/2 cup oleo or butter (melted)
1 cup sugar
1 T cinnamon

Heat oven @ 350º
Spray muffin tins. Large or small can be used.
Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
I put flour on top and other dry ingredients and mix them a little then use the mixer to combine. This will be very thick. Add the milk and buttermilk slowly mix. Do not over mix. Fill the greased muffin tins to the top. Bake for 15 -20 minutes. If you use the large muffin tins it will take about 25 minutes.
Dump out on a cooling rack. I use a glass measuring cup and melt the 1/2 cup oleo. Dip the tops of the muffin in the oleo and then dip in the sugar cinnamon mixture.
