Directions:I use fresh mozzarella balls that I buy from Costco. I cut them into quarters and put them on decorative appetizer picks, then a fresh basil leaf and a large chunk of fresh tomato or a grape tomato, cut, then another basil leaf and maybe another mozzarella piece. Mix the Boreni Oil dressing and pour over the tomato/basil/mozzarella skewers. Keep chilled until ready to serve.
For another appetizer the Boreni Oil can be served in a shallow bowl to dip fresh baguette slices into. |

Notes: This appetizer recipe was derived with the help of my fabulous neighbor Kevin. I took the Boreni Oil to one of their parties with a fresh baguette and some crudete. Normally one would dip their bread into the Boreni Oil. I also took these little Caprese appetizers, typically drizzle with balsamic vinegar and light olive oil but ... Kevin loved the two appetizers and combined them and this has become the "bomb" and a favorite of mine. Kevin simply topped his Mozzarella/Basil/Tomato skewer with the spicy Boreni Oil. Of course you can always serve them separately, but Kevin really put a good spin to this. To serve separately serve the Boreni Oil with a French bread to dip. For the Caprese appetizer simply drizzle with some good Balsamic Vinegar and some light olive oil. Enjoy!
