1 pound hamburger
2 Tbsp oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 (19 oz) can tomatoes
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
1 Tbsp chopped parsley
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp oregano (or 2 tsp fresh chopped)
1/2 tsp basil (or 2 tsp fresh chopped)
1/8 tsp pepper
1 package (8 oz) lasagna noodles
1 carton (16 oz) cottage cheese
1 egg
1 package (8 oz) mozzarella cheese, shredded
2 tsp chopped parsley
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
3 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

For sauce:
In large sauce pan, heat oil. Fry meat, onions, and garlic until browned. Drain. Add tomatoes, sauce, parsley, salt, sugar, oregano, basil, and pepper. Mix well, mashing tomatoes. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally.
While sauce is simmering, cook noodles per package directions, drain. Rinse with cold water.

Cheese layer:
In large bowl combine cottage cheese, egg, mozzarella cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well to blend all ingredients.

Grease large baking pan.
Layer 1/2 of sauce/meat mixture, 1/2 of the noodles, all of the cheese, then other 1/2 of the noodles, remaining sauce/meat mixture, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
