1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Topping:

1 cup confectioner’s sugar, sifted

Directions:
Directions:
In a bowl whisk together the flour, cornstarch and salt.
Set aside
In the bowl of your electric mixer mix the butter and sugar … until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
Beat in the vanilla extract. Gradually add the flour mixture.
Beat until incorporated.
Cover and refrigerate the dough for about one hour.
Preheat an oven to 350
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
On a lightly floured surface form a log from the dough.
Cut the log into two halves.
And then cut each half into two halves, and then again and again, until you have 36 equal pieces.
Form a ball from each piece (it is going to be about 1" in diameter).
Bake for about 12 – 14 minutes or until the edges of the cookies start to brown.
Remove from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool for 5 minutes.Line a baking pan or a tray with parchment paper and sprinkle about half of the confectioner’s sugar onto the bottom of the pan.
Then place the slightly cooled cookies on top of the sugar.
Cover the top and let them cool completely.
