1 cup whole milk 2 Tbs unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly 1 tsp vanilla
1 large egg 1 1/2 cup flour 1/4 cup sugar 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp kosher salt veggie oil for frying powdered sugar for dusting

Directions:

1. Whisk milk, butter, vanilla and egg. In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Make a well and whisk in milk mixture a little at a time until completely combined.
2. Use a pastry bag or plastic bag with the tip cut off. Put in 1 cup of batter at a time.
3. With a candy therm. heat oil to 375 degrees. Cover a cookie sheet with a few paper towels.
4. Once oil is hot, hold bag over the oil and let batter fall into oil in a steady stream, swirling in a circle. Close off bag and set bag in a tall glass.
5. Fry until puffed and golden on one side; flip over and cook other side. Remove from oil and put on paper towels.
6. Fry all 6 and then sprinkle with powdered sugar, enjoying while they are hot.
