4 squares unsweetened chocolate
2/3 cup vegetable oil or shortening
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup broken nuts if desired

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
Melt over hot water chocolate and oil. Remove from heat, add sugar vanilla and eggs.
Combine above together.
Preheat oven to 350°.
Spread in a 13x9-in. greased baking pan. Sprinkle with nuts if desired. Bake 20-25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack
