1 qt milk, scalded & cooled
1 cup mashed potatoes
1 cup melted lard (not hot)
1 cake yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm water
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
6 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
* Scald milk.

* Add potatoes, sugar, melted lard & yeast to the milk.

* Sift dry ingredients together & add to milk mixture.

* Thoroughly mix, let rise until doubles in size (about 1 1/2 hours).

* Add enough flour to make a stiff dough, shape into rolls.

* Let rise about 1 hour.

* Bake @ 350ºF for 10-15 minutes.
