1 stick butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs separated
1 cup crushed pineapple (drained well)
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 large box vanilla wafers
1 bag coconut
1 jar maraschino cherries
1 large container thawed Cool Whip

Directions:
Directions:
* Cream butter, sugar, egg yolks & crushed pineapple. Add chopped nuts.

* Beat egg whites until stiff & add to pineapple mixture.

* Assemble: wafer-mix-wafer-mix-wafer-mix-wafer.

* Put in refrigerator overnight.

* Take out & spread with Cool Whip to make a ball.

* Roll in coconut. * Put a cherry on top.

* Chill at least 2 hours; longer is better. May be frozen.
