1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter, sugar, oil, egg, and vanilla. Sift together flour, cream of tartar, soda, and salt. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Stir well and chill overnight.

Roll into little balls. Roll in sugar, then press with a glass. Bake at 350º on an ungreased cookie sheet for 10-12 minutes.
