2 sticks butter
1 c sugar
2 c flour
4 eggs

1 jar raspberry preserve
1 jar apricot preserve
1 pint sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Separate egg yolks and whites. Beat egg whites to peak. In another bowl, blend sugar and butter: add eggs then flour and blend in whites. Grease and flour the back of a 9 x 13 cake pan. Spread dough onto pan. Bake for 8 min. @ 350º.
Make 5 layers of cake. Remove from pan and let cool on rack.
Layer: cake, jam, sour cream, cake, etc. alternating the jams. Weight and refrigerate overnight, then decorate.

This was Julia Stevens special cake for Christmas. The family loved it. A bit of work but definitely worth it.
