1 cup butter, softened
1 3/4 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 can (21 oz.) cheery pie filing

Icing
1/2 cup confectioners'' sugar
1 Tabl. milk
1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, betting well after each addition. Stir in vanilla. combine the flour, baking powder and salt, add to creamed mixture.

Spread 3 cups batter into an ungreased 15 in x 10 n x 1 in. baking pan. spread pie filling over batter. Drop remaining batter by teaspoonful over top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. combine the confectioners sugar, milk , and vanilla, stir until smooth. Drizzle over bars
